Recently being given a signed copy of the book "Pools" by Kelly Klein, I have become mesmerized by unique pool structures, tiles, and shapes. Pools in unusual locations overlooking an ocean as to appear almost touching the natural body of water is so overwhelmingly beautiful. Maybe I'm getting island fever, and by island I mean Manhattan, but I am craving a serene getaway.

The Vagabond

There's something so romantic and mysterious about the vagabond look. Characterized by breezy linen blouses, long ponchos, layers of necklaces and bracelets, rugged cowboy hats, maxi skirts and gauchos, crochet knit tops and disheveled wavy hair, it's a look that says you're a no fuss world-traveler that's seen some serious shit.

60s Mood Board

Coming across some Sam Haskins photographs from the 60s recently inspired this mood board and me. Free spirited, feminine and complex, just like a Sam Haskins photo.

Pajama Game

Jammies have been sweeping the Resort runway and I do believe a pajama inspired look can either look chic or too comfortable. I do love the idea of this cashmere robe from The Row with a pair of pastel trousers or perhaps this Stella McCartney striped silk blouse with a pair of skinnies. Let's just not try any kitten or flying sheep or pancake prints, at least not in public.

10 Favorite Looks: Resort '12

Resort '12 so far has demonstrated that the '70s minimal look is here to stay. It was also these looks that I was most drawn to... neutral tones, menswear inspired, elongated silhouettes, and an emphasis on tailoring, and I threw in a flirty Missoni dress for good measure.
