The White Blouse

A staple in Spring and Fall, in day or night, for richer or poorer... the white blouse is more versatile than any other item in a wardrobe. I wear white cotton oxford button downs with vintage cut-offs to the beach, white silk oversized blouses with maxi skirts to dinner uptown, and white linen button downs with skinny jeans on the plane. Pair it with a MORTON & HUDSON handbag and you're good to go, no matter what the occasion!

Some may find neutrals a bit drab, but I find that the complexity of a neutral look lies in the silhouette and the detail. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall- I love a good neutral palette.

Fall '13 Mood Board

This week's mood board centers around the concept of prisms... Breaking light up and splitting it into different components, in a way deconstructing nature to find a new view or outcome. This mood board reflects sharp angles with highly detailed elements and demonstrates that man-made objects and devices can work with nature rather than against her. This board will be the inspiration for MORTON & HUDSON's Fall 2013 collection.

The Perfect Outdoor Summer Party

Maybe it's my new (well more like 7 month) obsession with Pinterest, but all I've been thinking about lately is throwing an extravagant outdoor summer party...  tea lights everywhere, strung lights and chinese lanterns hanging above our heads, mason jar cocktails, rustic tables scapes and lush greenery around us... Now if I only had a backyard.

The sharp tailoring in the jet black leather and the angular silhouettes and shapes against the natural cognac-colored wood grain is captivating. Not to mention, every leather piece in this editorial belongs in my closet come Fall!
