Trunks Trunks Trunks
I fell in love with antique trunks when I went to the Paris flea market for the first time at 16. Louis Vuitton and Goyard still make the same trunks they made almost 200 years ago, but the older they are the more character they have. Not only are trunks useful in an apartment setting (they hold all of my handbags), they add personality to any room. And isn't there something autumn-esque about a weathered trunk?

Fall Transition: Stripes
Ah yes... the first day Fall feels like Fall... the first cold day of the season... I was realizing this today at lunch at Balthazar bundled up in scarves and hats sipping French onion soup (the cheese doesn't count when it's in soup form). The time has come to put away the cottons and linens and transition into the Fall wools and cashmeres and leathers. Finally! Surprisingly, your Summer stripes can transition you from Summer to Fall with ease... just pair with a darker pant and maybe driving gloves or a military jacket and viola! Stay warm, ya'll!
