Chanel's F/W Collection is by far my favorite this season. The haunting silhouettes and complex textured fabrics mixed with downtown casual chic is certainly aiming to target a younger demographic... which I love. Departing from its classic and formal "ladies who lunch" persona, Chanel is now a brand with a downtown youthful feel. From the ad campaigns last Fall filmed on a fire escape on Mercer to the new store in SoHo, Chanel has kept its sophisticated image but has added a youthful spark to show that classic doesn't have to be old or tired. Fashion is evolutionary not revolutionary, and I'm loving the way Chanel has evolved over the past year.
