Throwing on a chapeau gives you an instant mysterious quality. A hat can dramatically enhance an outfit or drastically ruin it (see bottom photo). I have more wide brimmed trilby hats than I know what to do with and I have a feeling if I were to buy the insanely mega super wide brimmed Lanvin hat from Fall '11 that I would look like a mega super important person. As long as we stay far away from the fedoras people, a neutral colored wool wide brimmed hat can give you that instant mystique you have been longing for as you galavant around the city.
